Mohave for “sweet water” or aha, “water”, coobar, “there is very little”.

The town of Harcuvar is located two miles west of Salome and was a station on the Parker branch of the Atchison Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad. Harcuvar is probably better known as “Mountain Pass”, named after the Mountain Pass Truck Stop, a booming business when Highway 60 was the main route between Phoenix and Los Angeles.
