Nestled in a broad, scenic valley between the Mingus and Bradshaw Mountain ranges, Prescott Valley boasts a temperate climate, beautiful vistas and a rural feel while offering modern services and activities.

Its rapid growth to a population of more than 38,000 has positioned the town as the economic hub of Yavapai County, and several national retail companies have recently located here. A wide variety of businesses and service organizations provide the community with choices when shopping for hair cuts, car repairs or social services.

A state-of-the-art library opened in October 2009, providing the community with increased cultural opportunities, new and expanded services and resources in a variety of mediums. The new Library includes an educational wing occupied by the newly-formed Northern Arizona University/Yavapai. Prescott Valley is proud to now be part of the Arizona university system, and welcomes the chance to bring higher education close to home. This area also offers Yavapai College’s associate degree program, four-year programs at Prescott College and Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and the world headquarters of online education, Northcentral University.

Horse racing can be found from Memorial Day through Labor Day, and the site is also host to the Yavapai County Fair and other events.

In fact, one can participate in almost any outdoor sport in and around Prescott Valley, from hiking to mountain biking to hang gliding. Our mountains and forests are destination spots for camping, picnicking, fishing ... just about any activity that involves the great outdoors.
Tim’s Toyota Center, a newly-built arena, is home to the popular Arizona Sundogs professional hockey team, and has hosted such national groups as ZZ Top, Kenny Rogers, Willie Nelson and Foreigner. The Events Center is also the site of the Chamber’s annual Business, Health and Community Showcase, the Town’s Creative Energy Fair and other events throughout the year.

Just a stone’s throw away is the town’s Entertainment District. “ED,” as it is affectionately called, features a 14-screen Harkins Theater, several restaurants and a family fun center. It is the place to be for summer outdoor concerts by local bands, and throughout the year hosts events such as Prescott Valley Days, an arts and crafts fair, end-of-summer beach party and Oktoberfest.

Prescott Valley boasts more than 20 neighborhood parks, including Mountain Valley Park and its Splash swimming pool, grassy amphitheater, urban forest, pedestrian pathways and multi-use fields. Fain Park, named for the founding family of Prescott Valley, offers a stocked lake for fishing, hiking trails, and remnants of a once-vibrant mining operation. History can also be found on beautiful Glassford Hill, which was once used in heliograph communications.
Fain Park is also home to Valley of Lights, now in its tenth year of bringing “oohs and aahs” from those who make the one mile drive through lighted holiday displays. Open Thanksgiving through the end of December, Valley of Lights has become a premiere holiday event known throughout the state and beyond.

There is much to see, do and become a part of in Prescott Valley. Whether you visit here on a vacation or are planning to relocate, Prescott Valley will welcome you and help you to feel at home.
